Working with the Military
Project UNIFORM’s aim is to build collaborations between military and civilian tobacco control worlds to address tobacco use within military communities. Our ultimate goal is to increase access to existing cessation services as well as strengthen tobacco cessation services for the men and women who honorably serve our country. We do this in several ways by providing trainings to individuals and organizations serving active duty service members and Veterans; statewide opportunities to engage military communities (e.g., Veterans Day); educational materials and resources; paid media to promote tobacco cessation programs; and technical assistance to strengthen local program activities.
